Sweet Potato Parmesan Tater Tots.
PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 1 HOUR, 30 MINUTES
TOTAL TIME: 1 HOUR, 40 MINUTES
YIELD: ABOUT 36 TATER TOTS AND 1/2 CUP SAUCE
INGREDIENTS
Sweet Potato Tater Tots:
3 (about 1 1/2 pounds) medium sweet potatoes
2 tablespoons butter, melted or softened
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, plus more for sprinkling
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 (6-7 ounce bag) cups sweet potato chips crumbs
Spicy Sriracha Ketchup:
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Sriracha (hot chili sauce)
INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Prick the sweet potatoes all over with fork. Bake directly on the rack until tender, 50-60 minutes. Allow to cool 10 minutes.
  2. Once cool use your hands to peel away the sweet potatoes skin. It should just easily slip off. Place the potatoes in a medium size bowl and mash with the butter. Stir in the parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil and place the sweet potato chip crumbs (I recommend pulsing the chips in your food processore, you want fine crumbs, like bread crumbs) in a shallow bowl. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the sweet potato mixture into you hand and roll into a cylinder. The sweet potato mixture will be wet, but this is fine. The shape does not need to be perfect and you can fix it once you have rolled them in the chips. Roll the sweet potatoes in the chips and coat well. If you need to re-shape the cylinders do so now. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all of the sweet potato mixture is gone. Spray the tater tots with cooking spray and then sprinkle with more parmesan cheese if desired (do this!). Bake for 15 minutes and flip the the tater tots over and bake another 10-15 minutes or until golden and crisp. Remove from oven and serve immediately with the spicy sriracha ketchup.
  4. To make the spicy sriracha ketchup combine the ketchup and the sriracha in a small bowl.

OK. You might be wondering why am i posting that recipe. Its because i just saw a 9gag post shared by someone on Facebook and its listed as one of the most perfect food in the universe. I personally like to check out new recipes and if they are easy,i'll try to make them.

Previously when i was working at Adelaide Oval, i spotted the Zucchini Parmesan balls served to the guests. I kept thinking of it the whole night and wondered whats the taste like. I like Zucchini and i like cheese. BAM! I know i got to try it and so,i googled the recipe and i made it the next day. Boy it was awesome. Wait, let me go find a picture of it.

JENG JENG JENG!!! Looks so awesome right? Its super simple to make this.

Cut the Zucchini into tiny pieces. Mix them with flour and cheese, Add tuna if you want to. Fry/bake them. If you feel the taste is too plain to your liking, dip it in Avocado dip or any other dips you can find at your local grocery store.

I tried this when i was in Aussie and i got the Avocado dip in Woolies/Coles. But in Malaysia, its a bit hard to find dips or even if they have, its super duper expensive. RM15 for one small dip. Too pricey. But i haven't been using the kitchen much since i come back to Malaysia. Sadly. I miss cooking.

BUT i shall try the Sweet Potato Parmesan Tater Tots one day when i'm alone or when my dad is around only. My mum and sis are not big fan of cheese so this will be a big NO for them.

Ok. Back to work..or maybe stream TVD? hahahaha. BYEE

wtf

I am not the kind of person who gets really really angry over something unless it really gets on to my nerve. Usually i'll just be annoyed or frustrated but i get over it very fast.

BUT i am just so angry..like REALLY REALLY angry this time because i felt like the crap that she threw towards me is unnecessary and doesn't even make much sense.

Ok. Here's the story. My mum went to Adelaide last week and she came home yesterday evening. As soon as she reached home, she started giving me some rubbish attitude. She glared at me as soon as she stepped in the house and mind you, i was just standing there. Then she talked to me like i did a huge mistake that was unforgivable. BUT she was talking to my younger sister with her perfect tone and laughing and joking along the way.

Then today, when she was hanging the clothes to dry, she realised that the floor mat was in that pile which it was not supposed to be. My younger sister did not know that she needs to separate them and she just washed them together with our clothes and obviously i did not know that happened. BUT yet, i got the blaming. Of course i defended myself telling her that i did not know that my younger sister had no clue. I wasn't gonna sit there and just get the scolding when its not me who did that. And then, she moved on and started scolding me for not eating breakfast.

WTF?!?! First of all, i have some food stocked up at my desk in office and second of all,i just hate drinking milk and this is not the first time it happened. I haven't been drinking milk since God knows when and why must she start scolding me now. Like hell my elder sister also doesn't drink milk in the morning. Why scold me alone?

My family always think that i'm the easy one to bully because i do not have a temper and i don't really care about what they say and get over it real quick. But that doesn't give you the right to throw shit attitude at me. Especially when her fucking trip was all booked by me. Without me, she wouldn't even get to go to Adelaide, or get her Visa done. Her trip was almost cancelled because AirAsia cancelled the return flight and postponed it later. I had to go to AirAsia office at the airport and talk to them, asking them for the alternative, e-mail them, call them AND NOT A SINGLE THANK YOU i got from her! I did not even say anything or complain until now because she's being so damn fucking ungrateful.

A date with my sister

My sister and i have been looking forward to this outing and there were some hiccups here and there while planning for it.

But i'm glad we managed to go through with it because i had the best relaxing day. I finally used the MyTeksi app that Nick introduced to me. Pretty reliable app i would say. The teksi that we got were quite decent. Thank God for Nick or else Sharon and i would be driving around KL aimlessly since we are not familiar with KL.

There. That green sticker shows that the driver is "connected" to the app.

The 2 city girls that never took the cab by ourselves. HAHA!! There's like a streak of white hair but its actually just my highlights. Pretty cool huh! Maybe i should consider highlighting white 😄

Pavilion has the most beautiful Christmas decoration. I have always loved Christmas because its such a joyful celebration. We used to carry out the present excange tradition but since i went to Adelaide,it died down. But i'm still always looking forward to Christmas!

Tried to take an artistic shot. HAHA. Yay or nay?

Oooo bunny bunny!!

Santa, bunny, teddy bear and Christmas tree. Just missing 1 more subject to make this a perfect picture!

Hello hello :)

Sharon and i with the Christmas tree! Such an awesome day out with her

We walked around Tokyo Street in Pavilion and i saw this bunny earrings. RM 19.90 only but so cute!! Best buy ever! I love bunnies and i love jewelry! So good right. I'm not that kind of girl that requests for expensive materials because whats the point in spending so much but is not the things you like right? Like this bunny earrings. Its bunny and still very affordable!! I can buy so many of this with a Tiffany & Co price. Good buy good buy!

I can't believe they have Frozen merchandise. Wanted to get the Olaf nail
polish but my sister pulled me away. LOOOL!!!

Lunch at Tokyo Don!! Super big portion that i ate only a quarter of it.

Finally managed to try this place out.

I had a cappuccino and tiramisu. Super yums!!!

Sharon had the blue lemon sparkling ade. Very nice and refreshing!!

Another attempt to take an artistic shot and i love this shot!! Don't you? Imm getting better at this huh!! Self praise to the max wtf!!

Funny story about this handphone cover. I wanted to bling my Victoria Secret handphone cover and to buy the "blings", it costs RM68 for the baby pink beads and RM78 for the hot pink beads and RM50 for the glue. Sum up to quite a lot but i was like screw it. Buy only. Turned around and saw this cover. I have been aiming to get something like this but mostly are either Dior or Chanel. Too common. But this,i never see before! Immediately i told the lady i didnt want the beads anymore but i want this which costs me RM50 as opposed to almost RM200. Boy she was devastated! Immediately didnt smile at us anymore. HAHAHAHHAHA!!!

Ok. Ending this post with a nice shot of the interior of Tous Les Jours. Byebye!!

Marché @ The Curve

As post exam celebration, we went to Marché at The Curve for dinner. Sharon saw the Groupon deal so we've decided to give it a try. Groupon is such a great way to try new things because if you don't like it, you won't be so sad that you spend so much. If you get what i mean. So lets have a look at what we  experienced there.

So the concept at this restaurant is at the entrance, you are given a "passport" and then you go in. Its sorta a buffet style but you have to pay for every food/drink you order. For example, you want to order a steak, you go to the counter and order it, they write the code on your "passport" and tell you how long do they need. Then you have a seat and after time is up, you go and collect your food. At the end of your dining experience, you go to the counter and pay. As easy as ABC. All the food are mostly cooked on the spot so its very fresh.

Fresh fruit juices. Dad got the passionfruit lychee and Sharon got grapefruit lemonade to share with me but it was too sour for my liking.

the pizza impressed my parents although they didn't manage to try any. Oven wooden pizza. The way they made it look like those traditional Italian pizza.

Passionfruit lychee juice

Beef meatballs.
This is a side dish and because it looked so good,i ordered one portion and the chef was like "just the meatballs? Why don't you order some mains as well?" HEHE! Not interested in the mains though.

Mum enjoying the passionfruit lychee juice. HAHA

Chunky mushroom soup. You can actually eat chunks of mushrooms as opposed to some mushroom soup where you wonder whether is it really made of mushroom or not.

The bread is very loose and soft. Absolutely delicious when you dip it into the soup.

Roasted chicken crepe. Honestly? I didn't like it because they left the skin with the chicken and the chicken has some kind of taste. Those "chickenie" taste which is bad.

seafood aglio olio. They should put more black pepper but its not too bad.

sausage rosti.
This is a MUST. My mum thought it was onions but its actually made of potatoes. Super yummy but sinful.

grapefruit lemonade juice.

bacon baked potato.
DON'T ORDER THIS! This is also a side dish which my sister ordered because she didn't eat that much. Its horribly done. Too much sour cream and the potato was very hard.

Dad suddenly wanted to drink coffee(which is very unlike his usual self) and of course i obliged. I went to the coffee counter and this guy was making teh tarik. I ordered and then started snapping photos and he called out to me and ask me to take a picture of him. I just stared on because i was wondering what he was talking(he was talking gibberish) and then the lady beside me told me that he wanted to take picture of him doing the teh tarik. LOL!!! He got annoyed with me for not taking his picture. Wtf. So cute one!

mama bear and i

papa bear and baby bear

Yummy meatballs. They put Ikea meatballs to shame!

Making my dad's Swiss Mocha

Bad cup of cappuccino here but the Swiss Mocha is AWESOME!!!!
Must must must order the Swiss Mocha if you go there.

Had to smile for the picture but i was actually frowning at that cup of cappuccino.

e-Curve had a 3D art exhibition and we've decided to play around and since i brought my camera along,it was a perfect opportunity.

ohai penguins!!!

Taught mum how to pose! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Hello there tall guy!

Look at my mum casually walking at the back. Spoilt my picture ><

Managed to get my dad to play along. He's usually the very very serious kind that refuses to do these kind of things but he did play along yesterday. So proud of him.

My new pet. Jealous? HAHA.

I just realised that despite me not liking pink colour, i managed to change my laptop and my phone cover to pink. Both are my precious things that i will die without and both are pink now. Personally, i wanted the phone cover because its Victoria Secret and it cost me RM100+ just for a cover. But my laptop cover,no choice. I wanted purple but the choices in Malaysia are pretty limited. It was either red(which my sister had before so i didn't want red), black(i had black for my MacBook Pro) and transparent(which is eew). So pink was the best choice. I know Nick doesn't approve either. HAHAHAHAHA!!! I liked my green cover but it broke. Sigh sigh sigh. Should have bought it online instead.

ok. Back to work now. I'm actually blogging while watching The Originals while at work. I almost cried when i saw the documents piled up on my desk. Thankfully, i'm done with almost all of them. Efficiency much? Alright Gotta run.
